O río Deo nace no concello de Curtis, nos montes da Carriceira e da Graña. Xa no concello de Aranga ten como afluentes o rego de Porto Espiñeira e o Rego do Porto Vilarraso. Desemboca en Aranga no río Mandeo do que é o afluente principal[1].
O Deo é un río troiteiro acoutado para a pesca. O Coto Vilarraso é a parte do río que vai dende o límite entre os concellos de Aranga e Curtis, dende a Ponte de Cencasas en Curtis ata a xuntanza do Deo co Mandeo na ponte da Castellana. Son uns 6,4 km[2].
