Sirgal, Monterroso  é unha parroquia de Monterroso. Que pode significar en celta?

Así que se reunimos Viaxar a través,  atravesar e o significado frecuente de gal en Galicia, vapor, temos viaxar a través do vapor. Como non sei de que haxa fontes termais nin fumarolas, nin fervenzas na zona o vapor pode referirse a unha zona de néboa frecuente. Habería que preguntarlle aos da zona se é así.

Se fose un conto de ciencia ficción o significado podería ser viaxar "usando"  o vapor. Saberían usar  o vapor para viaxar? Non creo. É unha tradución que necesitaria visitar a zona.  Acaso é unha zona de difícil paso que necesita valor para facelo? Non sei. O máis probable, zona con néboa.
